FAQ

Short answers to common questions.

Is trading on Ztonk anonymous?
Not completely. Every trade's size, price and time are public — they have to be for pricing to work. What Ztonk hides is which wallet is behind a trade. What stays private has the detail.
Why not just use a new wallet?
A new wallet has to be funded by something, and that first transfer leads straight back to you. On Ztonk the new wallet is funded from the shield and its fees are paid by a relayer, so there's no first transfer to follow.
What if I lose my note?
The deposit can't be recovered — by you, by Ztonk, by anyone. Save the note before you confirm.
Can a relayer steal my withdrawal?
No. The destination and the relayer's fee are locked into your proof; changing either makes it invalid. A relayer can refuse to help, and then you use another.
Can Ztonk see which deposit is mine?
No. The proof doesn't reveal it, and your note never leaves your browser. The one thing a relayer does see is the IP address your request comes from — use a VPN or Tor if that matters to you.
Why fixed deposit sizes?
So every deposit in a pool looks identical. If sizes varied, matching a withdrawal to its deposit by amount would be easy.
How long should I wait before withdrawing?
There's no set number. What matters is how many other deposits land between yours and your withdrawal — the more, the better you're hidden.
Can I launch a token privately?
Yes. Fund your private wallet through the shield, then turn on Launch privately: the launch and your first buy are signed by the private wallet, and so are reward claims. See Private launches.
Is Ztonk live?
Yes, on Solana mainnet, in beta. The programs haven't been independently audited and the shield's setup ceremony needs more contributors, so keep amounts small. See Security.
Is Ztonk connected to Zcash, StonkFun or pump.fun?
No — it isn't affiliated with any of them.
